In what may be the second project-related safety incident in the last five months, a helicopter accident in Kīpahulu Valley brings more scrutiny to the serious risks of this dangerous plan
Last week there was a black helicopter flying low past me, under me. Maybe 200 ft. Or less. The Helicopter gauchos on Maui are up to something which may be more than just this release project. The jet fuel in HI is now rationed by Ché Roccocco, that's the CEO of legacy Chevron and Texaco infrastructure who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors for RED CROSS HI. (Mauer/Rothschild) The consolidation of helicopter fleet, the rationing of jet and helicopter go-go juice, and the partnerships with federal and state agencies are all suspicious activity on the part of the helicopter gauchos as far as I can tell. To me it is not so surprising that this crash is suppressed in the media as the media seems biased in glamorizing the helicopter gauchos, and there appears to be a plan to phase out small helicopter tour operators and phase in larger operators who use hardware which is indistinguishable from military hardware (just my thinking out loud). Plus acquiring new equipment and now a new position "fire marshall" and whatever helicopters they will use.
The advertisement which played for me just prior to this news blurb was for a helicopter tour company and that thing looks exactly like what flew under my nose last week.
"Maintaining fire records" is one of the roles of the newly legislated position of "fire Marshall".
That news report looks alot like a cover up. They can't even say the word "crash"? Did they get the phrase "hard landing" from time spent using this model in CIA operations in Nam?

Can we please spend our Maui County tax money to fund state legislated position called "fire Marshall" so that future information releases from "Maui County Fire and Public Safety Department" can be even more cryptic and withholding?
"Island News has reached out to both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Park Service (NPS) for comment. So far we have not yet heard back."

“The way that we understand fire right now is really a function of these responsibilities, record keeping things like that, public education,” said Clay Trauernicht, University of Hawaii at Manoa wildfire scientist. “So we just need to have state support for this kind of work.”
The bill states, the position would be appointed by the Governor from a list of three names provided by the State Fire Council.
“We really just want to establish the position first and then have that person whoever fills it, come back to us and really give us a clearer picture on what needs to be done and what kind of resources will also be needed,” Rep. Ichiyama said.
Does the word nepatism fit here? The bill will probably create sweeping powers "authority" held by one individual but UH and the bill creator can't tell you what that person will actually be doing?
They will create the position (authority) then White Green will pick a name, then that selected individual will have all the good ideas and knowhow and we will all just do what that guy says is pono? WTF?????
By the way if you are getting paid to be a "wildfire scientist" in the lush tropical state of Hawaii them you just might be the enemy of the people of Lahaina.
Oh wait let me guess, White Green is gonna pick the fire cheif from Maui who let the town of Lahaina burn.
It will be interesting to see what the final report for the accident states. "Hard landing" implies that the pilot still had control of the helicopter. Technically, a "crash" is uncontrolled descent into terrain. Either way, this is an accident with serious implications as to the risks and lack of protocols for this project.
