We Did It! Appeal Filed for Our Case Challenging the Maui Mosquito Experiment
Thanks to an outpouring of support, we reached our fundraising goal to file an appeal seeking a ruling that our mosquito case be remanded back to the circuit court and go to trial
Mahalo to everyone for helping raise awareness and funds towards our $30,000 goal. We’re happy to report that our appeal was filed today, and we will be continuing this David and Goliath battle in court. Hawai‘i Unites is seeking a ruling that our case against the State of Hawai‘i Department of Land and Natural Resources and Board of Land and Natural Resources be remanded back to the circuit court and go to trial. We want this case to be heard, and we’re determined to stop this bacteria-infected mosquito release experiment on Maui and set a precedent for all islands being targeted by this dangerous biotech agenda.
Thanks to an outpouring of support from all over the world and the dedication of our community here on the islands, Hawai‘i Unites raised over $33,000 in donations during our month-long fundraising drive. We’re so grateful for the generous contributions, and we want you all to know that every dollar we see come in is a message of hope and encouragement that keeps us going.
This battle is just beginning. Our case is strong, but we are up against not only the state agency defendants. We’re facing a heavily funded multi-agency partnership of state and federal government and non-governmental organizations with a slick marketing campaign and a lot of money on the line. The reputations of these agencies are at stake here as we continue documenting the truth about the risks of these lab-altered mosquito release experiments while they plow forward with reckless disregard for the health of our island’s people, wildlife, and ‘āina.
Please stand strong with Hawai‘i Unites as we face this challenge head-on. Your tax-deductible donations help us continue working with our excellent legal team to present solid arguments and strategize together to navigate this case through the courts.
